A full time elementary teacher and a love for creativity!

I have been creating jewelry since 2005.  It has definitely been a learning process but more so a love.

A love for expression.  A love for creativity.  A love of meeting new people.

By day I teach a multiage grade of 1st and 2nd graders.  This year I have 31 students with a co-teacher.  We have loads of fun in school!  In the town of Shirland, IL., I work out of my basement or as I like to call it, my studio.  I enjoy creating after school and on weekends.  When not creating, I enjoy watching hockey and football.  I also enjoy fishing with my husband and my dad.

People ask me how I got started making jewelry.  The story is quite funny actually.  I always say it is my mom's fault!

She started taking earring making classes and tried to get me to do it as well.  Well, I absolutely refused!  However, after 8 months or so, I gave in.  Needless to say, I LOVED IT!  I started creating jewelry by stringing then moved to bead weaving.  I loved it but wanted to do more.  I then found Vintaj Brass.  I really enjoyed putting pieces together to create beautiful jewelry.  Some pieces were on television shows such as The Vampire Diaries and sent to country music stars at the 46th Annual Country Music Awards.  But as you and I both know, life takes turns.  So did my vision of creating jewelry.

It was in 2014 that I saw a bracelet on ETSY to which after researching I learned was created using a technique called Fold Forming.  I decided that I wanted to teach myself how to do this technique.  I fell in love with fold forming and create using this technique today.
